Epilogue

Jack was released from prison in time to enroll in NYU for the fall term. He still didn't precisely know what he wanted to do with his life, but the first thing was to get a degree. He majored in philosophy which was a clear announcement to the world that indeed, he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life.

At the university, he attended classes taught by a legendary and charismatic philosophy professor. Jack was enthralled, and allowed himself to be taught. Jack admired this professor and studied his works, while at the same time being very careful to avoid the temptations of discipleship.
